Scholarship Informational Posters — New for 2012!
To help managing agents and communities in making their tenants aware of this opportunity we have provided 8.5X14 color and black & white posters that can be downloaded from the website and printed on legal-size paper. Please post them on your bulletin
boards, in laundry rooms, community rooms, computer labs, and other places where your residents gather.
AHMA-NCNH takes great pleasure
each year in selecting deserving young persons to receive vocational
or academic scholarships in the amount of up to $1,000 each.
AHMA-NCNH Scholarships are awarded to residents of housing managed by AHMA-NCNH members who are
currently or will be attending vocational, academic, or fine arts post high school education.
Applicants must be age 16 years or older. Current high school students and current college
students must have a GPA of 2.5 or above; or possess a high school equivalency certificate.
It must be the applicant’s intention to complete the course of study indicated on the
application. Scholarship funds are intended for tuition purposes only and therefore checks
will be made payable to the educational institution; however if the award results in the
loss of other assistance from grants/loans, other arrangements will be made. Scholarships
must be used within one calendar year.
Applications must be postmarked no later than May 15, 2012.
Applicants for academic and fine arts scholarships must be high school seniors, high school
graduates, or current college students, eligible for admission to or to continue enrolment in
the college, university, or fine arts school program indicated on the scholarship application
in the fall semester or quarter.
Applicants for vocational scholarships must be a high school senior, high school graduate or
possess a high school equivalency certificate.
This selection process will ensure that all qualified applicants have an equal and fair
chance to receive a scholarship. Awardee(s) will be announced at the Annual Conference. Winners
will be notified and invited to attend the Awards and Recognition Luncheon in September for
presentation and acceptance of the scholarship awards.
The person(s) selected as finalists or a family member MUST BE PRESENT at the AHMA-NCNH
Awards and Recognition Luncheon to receive the scholarship.
